The ceiling bulkhead with PRODEC-R mechanical sealing element for flush mounting is used to seal air ducts made of spiral ducts.

It consists of a white powder-coated sheet steel housing with a pipe connection piece. Inside the housing are the intumescent and the powder-coated damper blades, which are held in the open position by a thermal release device.

In the event of a fire, the thermal release device reacts between 70°C and 75°C and the damper blades close by means of spring force. The intumescent layer then expands - the pipe cross-section is closed and heat transfer to the side facing away from the fire is restricted.
