The AIR FIRE TECH ceiling partition with PRODEC mechanical locking element enables the fire protection partitioning of air ducts made of spiral-wound and plastic pipes in various ceiling constructions, such as solid ceilings and cross-laminated timber ceilings. Furthermore, installation in combination with the unique TIROTECH® fire protection mortar and soft partition systems has been tested.

The PRODEC cross-section-free ceiling penetration seal consists of a corrosion-resistant housing with an integrated intumescent layer. The multi-layer damper blade inside the housing is secured by the thermal release device. The free cross-section in this damper blade position makes it easy to clean the air duct using rotating brushes.

When exposed to temperatures between 70 °C and 75 °C, the triggering device reacts and the damper blade closes the cross-section by means of spring force. The integrated intumescent expands and prevents temperature transfer.
